Dear Minister,
The Southern Missouri District School of Ministry has been in operation for several months now. We are pleased to tell you that our enrollment continues to increase and we have over 110 students. We would also like to mention that as a result of our growth, we have opened an additional location for the School of Ministry in Cape Girardeau, MO. Plans have been made to open two new sites in St. Louis, and Kansas City by April.
Our goal is to provide Southern Missouri with another way to further their Biblical education and preparation for ministry. While some involved in the program are not seeking credentials but are expanding their understanding of God’s Word and ministry, many others have chosen to complete the credentialing process and will be recognized at this year’s District Council. God is at work in our midst and we are so grateful.
We are approaching the close of our first round of courses and will begin with a new cycle in April. The Southern MO District would like to extend an invitation to you to encourage those in your congregation to take full advantage of this educational opportunity.
Students are given the chance to develop personal relationships with other students and offered a wide variety of instruction and mentoring. Facilitators or teachers have included members of the Southern Missouri District Presbytery and Directors as well as Senior Pastors from our district.

The interaction with the teachers and students have been good as well. With effort of course, SOMO School of Ministry is doable for almost anyone's schedule and rewarding at the same time”, Linda Mayne, student.
