About School of Ministry

 

What is the School of Ministry? It is a learning experience that will help students, ministers and pastors acquire the knowledge necessary for credentialing, to build strong values and character, and to develop the practical skills necessary for successful ministry.

 

Can my courses I have taken from another school transfer into my student file?
Yes, it is possible. Courses are evaluated based on their equivalent content with the Berean School of the Bible courses.

 

How long does it take to complete one level of credentials? One level of credentials can be completed in one year.

 

How long does it take to complete each course? We prefer that you finish each course within the month. It will be necessary to study each day in order to complete the required reading on time.

 

What are the locations for the School of Ministry? Springfield is the main location. We do have a location in Cape Girardeau at First Assembly. We have plans to open 2 new sites by April in St. Louis and Kansas City.

 

Where do I go to take my final exam? The final exam will be given at the Southern MO District Office in Springfield, MO or at Cape First Assembly in Cape Girardeau, MO. This will depend on your location.

 

What is Class Day? Class Day is the specified day set aside for lecture, discussion, fellowship, and testing. All Class Days will occur on a Saturday.

 

Who are the teachers that will be used for the School of Ministry? Most teachers/facilitators will be Southern MO District Presbyters or Directors and Senior Pastors from the Southern Missouri area.

 

How much does each course cost? $70 per course which does include the reading materials needed. The internship program is $80 which provides the book for the mentor and the student.

 

Is there any specific order the courses need to be taken in? While no courses on the Berean School of the Bible level are required prior to enrollment in additional courses, we do have several recommendations to help in your course progress. 

 

When do I get my diploma? A diploma is awarded when all courses for your particular diploma program have been completed. When you have completed all the necessary course work, you will need to request a program completion form. When that has been returned, we will process your request and send your diploma.
